Voice dictation for therapy notes without starting from a blank page.

After a session, speak what happened in your own words, review the captured summary, then draft the SOAP note.

Understanding the documentation task

Voice input can help clinicians preserve details between visits: activity, patient response, support level and what should happen next. A dictated recap is different from ambient recording of a whole encounter. NoteyDoc supports a clinician-led speech-to-text workflow in the web app; it is not necessary to record the entire visit to create a note.

Start with a concise recap

Say the treated skill, relevant observations, level of assistance or prompts, recorded measurements and next-session plan. You do not need to dictate complete SOAP prose.

Verify the transcription

Speech recognition can mishear clinical abbreviations, left versus right, numbers, dosage or proper nouns. Correct the text before generating or pasting into the medical record.

Review the generated sections

Ensure Subjective statements are attributed, Objective contains real facts, Assessment stays clinically supported, and Plan reflects what was actually decided.

Respect recording policies

A short post-visit dictation and a full-session recording have different privacy and consent considerations. Follow your organization's data policies for any audio use.

Common questions

Can I use NoteyDoc on my phone?

The web app works through a modern mobile browser; microphone permissions and device restrictions vary.

Do I have to record the whole visit?

No. A short recap can be used instead. Any separate full-session feature should be evaluated against organizational consent and privacy policies.

Will dictation put the note in my EHR automatically?

Not necessarily. Review the draft and use the approved process for moving it into your record.
